Pixar's Classic Movie Moments

Toy Story: Buzz Lightyear and Woody fall with style.

This year, Pixar celebrated its 25 year birthday. It's hard to believe that the company has only released 12 feature films and 20 shorts to date, beginning with the runaway hit Toy Story in 1995. Eleven out of twelve films found critical success (with the exception being Cars 2 ) and all twelve, astoundingly, are among the fifty highest grossing animated films of all time.

Back in August, we were lucky enough to visit Pixar Animated Studios based in Emeryville, California for an interview where we got a first-hand look at their incredibly creative space (designed by the late Steve Jobs).

Pixar not only shared a wonderful video to look back on their incredibly successful 25 years (which you see below), they've also been releasing some stunning images from their films. They've grouped them into separate albums like 25 Pals, 25 Funniest Moments, and 25 Classic Moments. Now, let's take a walk down memory lane and see some of the best movie moments from the Classics album.

Toy Story: Buzz Lightyear meets the green aliens, and of course, The Claw!

A Bug's Life: The Blueberries and their unofficial troop mom, Francis.

Toy Story 2: The toys welcome Andy home.

Monsters, Inc: Kitty...we mean James P. Sullivan (Sulley) tucks Boo in.

Finding Nemo: Marlin learns to "just keep swimming."

The Incredibles: The Incredibles save the day, as a team.

Ratatouille: Linguini meets Remy.

Wall-E: WALL•E decorates EVE.

Up: Ellie thanks Carl Fredricksen for the adventure.

Cars: Lightning McQueen IS SPEED.

If you can't get enough of Pixar, make sure you pick up the recently released book The Art of Pixar.

  • Every single Pixar movie has been great...with the exception of Cars 2. Even Cars 2 was good, just not great.
