My Modern Metropolis

I’ve said it once, and I will say it again. Black and white photography is powerful and emotional. UK-based photographer Lee Jeffries proves this point with his spectacular shots. While he began his photography career taking pictures of sporting events, he soon found out that it wasn't his calling. “A chance encounter with a young homeless girl in the streets of London,” his website shares, “changed his artistic approach forever.” From that moment on, the homeless became the subject of Jeffries’ art. The models he enlists are not famous celebrities or sports icons, they're those he meets on the streets.

Each photo is a window to his heart and a visual reminder of the compassion he feels for the homeless.
