Visitors Get Soaking Wet by a Towering Shower in Germany

From the company that brought you the Rain Room comes a new interactive artwork that will get you soaking wet. Tower: Instant Structure for Schacht XII is a site specific installation made for the Ruhrtriennale Arts Festival in Germany by studio rAndom International that pours 30,000 liters of water per minute on anyone daring enough to stand right under it.

What would it feel like, you ask? "The sound of the falling drops is intensely loud and a sensation of moisture lingers in the air," states rAndom. VernissageTV has some fun video of people standing right in the middle of the installation, for the moment, somewhat dry.

The huge structure can be found at the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen, Germany from now till October 6.
