My Modern Metropolis

Ever wonder where all the old/used tyres go? Well, they get recycled of course! Here's one way how, create a kick ass giant sized sculpture! Below are some sculptures created by talented (tyre) artists.

Mirko Siakkou-Flodin
” My desire as an metal artist working internationally is to design artwork which fits into the broader cultural context as well as the ambiance of the desired setting. Therefore, I strive to combine the site specific natural and architectural lines with traditional and historical themes to create something both unique and representational for the piece in its setting. ” - Mirko Siakkou-Flodin

Ji Yong Ho
"My concept is mutation—mutants. The product is from nature,” (from the white sap of latex trees.) "Rubber is very flexible, like skin, like muscles,” - Ji Yong Ho

And anyone knows who the bottom pics are from so I can credit them.

Interesting. Makes me wanna touch the sculpture..Feel the structured surface.

The material almost dictates strong looking sculptures. I wonder if anyone would be able to make this material seem light as a feather.
