Ordinary Foods Get Rearranged Into Psychedelic Pits and Pyramids

Photographer Sam Kaplan has designed a series that will catch your eye and make your mouth water at the same time. Using various cookies, candies, tea cakes, and sandwiches, the artist has built a collection of remarkable pits and pyramids. These edible structures may be made out of simple items that you can find at your local grocery store, but the symmetrical, finished product is anything but ordinary. Kaplan utilizes his past experience in still life photography to get the lighting just right, capturing the intricate details of each of his incredible, architecture constructs. He completely transforms common foods into mesmerizing works of art for his Pits and Pyramids series.
