Parents Create a Secret Treasure Room for 4-Year-Old Son

When Sarah Goer and her husband moved into their home, their son was only 2 years old. Attached to his bedroom was a small storage space that they decided to keep a secret from him until he got a little older. So they covered up the entrance to the space with a dresser and left it untouched for two years.

Recently, for their son's fourth birthday, the Goer's decided to transform the small storage space into a secret hidden treasure room. They hired a contractor to redo the entire room with drywall, wood floors, and a fresh coat of paint.

Sarah had one wall painted with an bold accent color and decorated with small furniture where her son could read, create, play, and relax. On his birthday, the Goer son received clues that led him to his birthday present–his very own secret treasure room hidden behind his bedroom wall. Needless to say, the gift was a great hit and their son now has his own space to let his imagination run wild.
