Originally from Würzburg, Bavaria, artist Joshua Bronaugh paints deeply emotive portraits that make you feel as though you're watching memories slip away. His beautiful brushstrokes make up figures of women yet Bronaugh keeps his work abstract, almost making us feel as though his work is undone. With his careful use of color and light, he tells incredible stories, making us fill in the details with our own experiences.

"At some point I made a decision to make paintings that, although hinged on the armature of an image, had expressive surfaces, collecting hundreds of abstract marks. I’m pleased when I look at a painting, especially one of my own, if I have to take a moment for the image to emerge."

"I love having bruises that I can touch throughout the day to instigate memory. Sometimes the bruise is a broken lip; sometimes exhaustion; sometimes the way light falls on skin. Painting is touching the bruise." - Joshua Bronaugh

Well it is abstract yet markably narrative . She is in disparage first , she is unable to recover her complete self in an
attempt , she goes through a bit of an introspection then , in a process she strips herself to her bare nature , and she
finds her alter ego and she is in harmony again , well temme if you have a better story hahahaha !!!
