Here at theMET, we feature a lot of digital art and photography. While all of that is great, we also have a passion for more traditional forms of art. Belarusian painter Leonid Afremov created these beautiful paintings using only a palette knife and oil paint. His work is reminiscent of an artist we featured a while back, Franoise Nielly. I absolutely love the effect the knife has on the canvas, especially with the magnificent contrasting colors he uses.
