NASA Releases Over 12,000 Unseen Images From the Artemis II Mission

We were lucky to follow the Artemis II mission live, getting real-time updates of the astronauts as they flew around the moon. And thanks to the advanced tech that surrounded the mission, NASA was able to share some high-res images taken by the astronauts before they even returned to Earth. These included Earthset, a solar eclipse from their perspective, and detailed images of the dark side of the moon.

NASA Shares Breathtaking Images From the Artemis II Lunar Flyby

The Artemis II mission is coming to a close. The four astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft are expected to return to Earth today following a 10-day trip that took them to the moon and back. During their time flying around our satellite, they captured some breathtaking images, including some intriguing shots of the far side of the moon, as well pictures of Earth from thousands of miles away.

The launch is part of NASA’s planned Artemis II mission, and it’s set to make history as the first manned flight taking humans the farthest they’ve ever been in space. But that’s not all; for the first time in more than 50 years, astronauts are returning to the moon to orbit it.
