In honor of Veterans Day, an NCAA basketball game was held between the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Michigan State Spartans. However, where the game was held is the intriguing part. A regular season men's basketball game took place on the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson, a Navy aircraft carrier. The carrier housed an audience of 7,000 fans, including President Obama and First-Lady Michelle Obama, who not only came out to honor and support the troops, but also to pay tribute to the 95,000-ton Navy warship that buried Osama bin Laden's body at sea. The final score? 67 North Carolina, 55 Michigan State. Go Tar Heels!
