Magnificent Stacked Green Façade in Vietnam

Located in Saigon, Vietnam, the Stacking Green house offers beautiful plant life at almost every perspective. The green façade and roof top garden protect its inhabitants from direct sunlight, street noise and pollution, while also saving lots of energy through natural ventilation. Architects Vo Trong Nghia, Daisuke Sanuki and Shunri Nishizawa designed the home for a couple in their 30's, along with their mother.

The distance and height between the planters are adjusted according to the height of the plants, which varies from 10 to 16 inches. Automatic irrigation pipes are located inside the planters to water the vegetation and for easy maintenance. In the morning and afternoon, sunlight enters through the leaves on both façades, creating beautiful shadows on the granite walls.
