The world is filled with anomalies and pareidolia (i.e. inexplicable phenomenons) but how would you react if you were sailing along Antarctica and came across an iceberg that looked like a grumpy old man? Redditor strummingmusic came face-to-face with this unusual situation and had to photograph the incredible scene, saying he thought it was "pretty cool" (pun intended).
As a guide on a tall ship making a 52-day voyage from Argentina to Antarctica, the photographer behind the unbelievably entertaining image caught the shot "in Collins Bay, between Barros rocks and Berthelot Island, rough coordinate: 65° 19.474'S, 64°" and knew he had to share his incredible find. One clever redditor even went so far as to improve upon strummingmusic's image by adding a pair of undersea arms and legs, making it even harder not to see the glacial mass as an elderly titan out for a polar bear's swim.
