Fences are often used to protect our gardening areas, however, it's not often that one of these enclosures is more delicate than the actual flowers. Shanghai based multi-discipline design company Super Nature Design recently developed this elaborate design, entitled The Garden, as part of the Paper Infinite Invitation Exhibition held in Rel, Shanghai. The geometric pattern was die-cut out of ivory paper and constructed with a heavier bottom to stand on its own in a circular form.
The concept involves a series of delicately-carved paper rows that radiate outward from a central point, with the smallest layer wrapped snugly around a handful of white orchids. With light shining down from overhead, the cast of textured shadows on the floor creates a beautiful patterned display that sits alongside the natural center. The company says, “There is a garden in our heart, as pure and beautiful as it has been. Finding the purity of our heart in this garden allows us to touch the invisibility of the delicate beauty.”
