Teach Every Child About Food - Jamie Oliver: TED

Yesterday, I was finally able to see Jamie Oliver's winning TED talk in its entirety, and I can wholeheartedly say it's totally deserving of TED's $100,000 prize.

Jamie Oliver is transforming the way we feed ourselves, and our children. He has a passion for creating (and talking about) fresh, honest, delicious food. In this very persuasive talk, Oliver shares powerful stories from his anti-obesity project in Huntington, West Virginia, and makes the case for an all-out assault on our ignorance of food.

I totally agree with you Eugene. I saw the video of Jamie's talk yesterday and it really moved me. I immediately enlisted my younger son to help me cook our dinner last night. While we were all eating I described to the family the ideas that Jamie outlines. We already cook most of our own meals but will now certainly be more aware of what we are eating. Jamie's thoughts are the first realistic thing I've heard that could actually have a measureable effect on obesity.
