The Ice Bear Project: COP15 Climate Change Conference

Whether you believe in global warming or not, this melting polar bear ice sculpture is pretty ingenious. The Ice Bear Project was created by British sculptor Mark Coreth to give artistic form to the climate change affecting the polar ice caps. The life-sized Ice Bear is located in a public square in Copenhagen during the COP15 Climate Change Conference. Passersby from all over the world are encouraged to touch the sculpture… to feel the arctic ice and to contribute to the symbolic melting of the ice bear, which reveals the bronze skeleton hiding underneath
