The Invisible Cloak - Fred Lebain (6 photos)

French photographer Fred Lebain must enjoy playing tricks on our eyes. After taking photos at various sites in New York City, he revisited the spots with poster-sized prints of the locations. By standing behind his carefully re-aligned prints, he created an invisible cloak!

These are interesting, and I do like them, but it seems a lot of artists are doing this sort of thing lately. Like the Chinese artist who paints his whole body to match the background, and has photos taken of himself blending right in.

It's interesting, visually arresting, inspiring that someone can do it and make viewers do a double-take... but it gets less and less amazing with each new example.
