The Ocean is My Playground

“The ocean is my playground,” says 20-year-old Micah Camara. “It's a whole different world down there!”

Camara lives in Kauai, Hawaii which, according to him is, the “most beautiful place in the world.” Taking advantage of the warm, clear ocean water, he takes artistic shots that are full of life and excitement. What I enjoy most about his work, however, is that it offers us a brief escape from our world. It's like we get to live vicariously through him.

How does he capture such beautiful shots? Exactly what camera does Camara use? “I have recently acquired a Nikon D90, that stays at my side 24/7 to help me document my beautiful, slow-paced island lifestyle,” he says.
