In 2008, fresh out of high school, Karla Read picked up a hobby that would ultimately change the course of her life. After seeing a friend’s blog, she was not just inspired to create one of her own, she decided that she would make her own portfolio. One thing led to another and she ended up moving from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to Buenos Aires, Argentina so that she could pursue her passion. She rigorously studied photography and, ultimately, was able to make a career out of it.

Her beautiful photography carries a sense of nostalgia, and tells stories about a woman's longing to be different, young and free. “I’m mostly inspired by the things I want to be. Things I miss - my childhood and feelings. You see, I’m a really introverted person...so photography, it’s like the other me, if that makes any sense. It helps me balance things out,” Read shares.

Aesthetics? So personal. I loved the first three posts and (generally), the entire concept and execution! #2 is wonderful. Exceptional collection! ★★★★★ ~Don

Excluding the first 3 shots, this is quite good.

So very nice. It is personal and each photo reveals something personal, but different. Tempts me (as a new member) to fill out my profile (or whatever) and post some photos. ★★★★★ ~Don

...... ever looked into George Bataille?

Your style lends itself to his ideas.
