They had me at wireless internet signal. Really they did. The Orange Solar Concept Tent you are seeing uses cutting edge eco-energy technology that allows campers to keep in touch and power their essential camping gadgets. How does it capture the sun's energy? The tent has specially coated solar threads that are webbed into conventional fabric. What other modern amenities does this tent have? How about a central wireless control hub that's in the form of a touch screen LCD display which displays energy generated and consumed as well as providing a wireless internet signal, a wireless charging pouch which powers mobile phones and other portable devices without the need for wires, and an under-floor heating that is triggered automatically once the interior temperature falls below a set level.

For festival goers, they even made it easy to find your tent with “glo-cation” technology. Glo-cation enables campers’ mobile phones to identify their tent using either an SMS message or automatic active RFID technology; both would trigger a distinctive glow in the tent helping identify it from a distance.

Sadly, the tent's only a concept right now but we're looking forward to seeing this come to fruition. It'll give the word "camping" a whole new definition.
