Amazing Tilt-Shift Photography at the Olympics

These aren't images of toy models simulating Olympic sports. They are, in fact, real photos from the 2012 Olympic events using a method known as tilt-shift. Oftentimes, we see tilt-shift photography of landscapes; however, these images display a transformation of more than just the arenas the Olympic athletes play in. The athletes themselves wind up looking like tiny action figures fighting for the gold.

These "action figures" can be seen leaping, racing, and battling in stadiums and tracks that resemble toy models built out of colorful LEGO blocks. We've even seen plenty of LEGO models with Olympic themes. We've also shared some incredible examples of sports photography taken at this year's Olympics that display the strength, energy, and technique of each athlete. These sets of images combine the two forms of art into each photograph, making for an interesting outcome.
