As part of Microsoft's $300 million comeback strategy, Microsoft's agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky has come up with a line of retro-style graphic t-shirts, called "Softwear by Microsoft." Set to debut on December 15th, the idea of "softwear" is that its going to tap into the nostalgia of when PCs were just starting to change our lives. With retro logos, classic photos, and geek-chic iconography, these pieces showcase the DOS days of the software company that now connects over a billion people.
They've even partnered up with rapper Common who will serve as the line's celebrity spokesman.
After the Seinfeld/Bill Gates commercial debacle I'm not sure if this is going to make them cool.
But what are your thoughts?
Are these too cool or is Microsoft just lookin' like a fool?
