
About a month ago, I posted about
stunning ice sculptures at the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival in China. Not to be outdone, Japan has started two of their own magnificent ice festivals!!
The Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival started yesterday in the Japanese city of Chitoze, while the 60th Annual Sapporo Snow Festival began today on the northern Japanese lake of Hokkaido. Sculptors from all over the world gathered to build some really cool and complex ice structures. Here are their works:
