Uncanny Fish Dinner Resemblance

We've heard the saying “you are what you eat” but photographer Ted Sabarese has taken it to a whole other level! The New York-based photographer has created a setup of people with distinct looks getting ready to dig into their fishy meal that, oddly, looks like them. A rotund, mustachioed man sits in front of a filling plate of catfish, while a proper young redhead prepares to eat what I can only assume is a red snapper (forgive me, I'm not up to date on my ichthyology).

The physical resemblances are uncanny, right down to the bulbous eyes of one woman being mirrored in her piscine meal. I also have to commend the series on its art direction, set design, and costuming. Each element adds to the effectiveness of creating parallels between the subjects.
