Up's 12 Magical Movie Moments

While some would argue that Pixar's 10th animation film is not their best, I wholeheartedly disagree. Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Monsters and Wall-E are nothing compared to Up. Director and co-screenwriter Pete Docter and co-director and co-writer Bob Peterson took Up to new heights - creating a sweet love story in the beginning, an exciting adventure story in the middle and a warm, family story in the end. The best thing about Up, however, is that we found a hero in a 78-year old man...a man who loved his wife in such a pure and sweet way, it's like nothing we've ever seen.

As film critic Kenneth Turan from the LA Times says, "Up's multi-minute montage of the long married life of Carl and his wife, Ellie, is a small gem that will stay with you for a lifetime."

Here are 12 movie moments from my favorite animated Pixar film, Up. From Carl's first run in with Ellie to 8-year old Russell meeting Kevin the bird and Dug the dog, these are the magical movie moments we'll always remember.
