Portland, Maine based artist Matt Moore signature "Vectorfunk" style is instantly recognizable. The 30-year-old graphic designer and painter is a rising star in the design world. After working for other people, he now works for himself and is the founder of MWM Graphics, a design and illustration studio in Portland's West End.
This past February, he debuted Crystals and Lasers in Paris. As his website states, "He arrived with no art, no supplies, and no firm plan for this new series of canvas paintings. The ideas for the artworks have actualized while processing time spent absorbing French Culture, exploring the City Of Lights, the vibrant colors, the exaggerated geometry, and the diverse architecture and fashion of Paris."
You may also remember the stop-motion video he was invited to be in titled
Walls are Dancing. It was a series of live painting performances on walls in Marseille, Lyons and Paris. Directed by Le Groupuscule, the music video gathered over 700,000 pictures and was edited to a then unreleased track by Monsieur Monsieur.
