Modern Bicycle Folds Up Easily for Quick Transport

One Shot is a unique concept by designers Valentina Vecchia and Marilena Alberga that takes a fixed-belt bicycle and allows it to fold up into a small and easily transportable package. Bike design has become an increasingly common area of study due to its rise in popularity among urban residents and tourists looking for a more hands-on approach to experiencing cities. However, one issue for modern bikes is that so many of them are rigid forms, making them difficult to take on public transportation or store away. Luckily, Vecchia and Alberga set out to create a compact and functional bike with this problem in mind.

The smart design solves common issues that commuting cyclists face such as space, weight, and portability. The versatile bike features two wheels that are connected at a main hinge that release the seat and pedals when they are split apart. When collapsed, the handles allow the user to steer the compact bicycle around with ease like a wheeled suitcase. Its thoughtful design makes the modern, functioning bike seem perfect for anyone, whether they be tourists or commuters!
