The International Aerial Photographer of the Year competition has announced the winners of its second edition, after receiving 1,587 entries from photographers around the world. Out of this high-caliber selection, judges narrowed it down to one Photographer of the Year (with two runners-up), one Photograph of the Year (with two runners-up), four special award winners, and a Top 101 that showcases the remarkable breadth of contemporary aerial photography.

Photography illuminates the world, especially when it comes to science. It can shed light on complex subjects and allow us to connect emotionally with them in ways that words can’t. The Beaker Street Science Photography Prize recognizes images that “reveal the wonder, complexity, and fragility of the natural world” by way of science. The competition just announced its finalists for the 2026 edition, presented as part of Tasmania-based Beaker Street Festival’s 10th anniversary program.

The World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Bimi® is a celebration of the genre in its many and ever-changing forms. Its competition draws thousands of entries each year, and the contest recently announced its 2026 category winners and the grand prize of the Overall Winner.
