Surreal Pocket Watch World

Loving the surreal nature of this new illustration called Pocket Watch by New York-based illustrator Victo Ngai. Created for Plansponsor's July issue, it's an accompaniment to a piece about watching your pocket with the amount of time you have until retirement.

By using gears as her cityscape, she shows how each of us are moving through time until we ultimately reach retirement (or the rocking chair). Love how she's created this busy, industrialized city inside a simple watch.
