The world has been in shock, watching one of the most prestigious cities in the world in complete chaos.

Rioting in London's Tottenham neighborhood erupted following protests over the shooting death by police of a local man, Mark Duggan. Police were arresting him when the shooting occurred.

While fires gutted several stores, buildings, and cars, the disorder spread to other neighborhoods as well, with many shops being looted. So far, 563 people have been arrested and 105 charged in connection with violence in the capital. 111 officers have suffered injuries in the three days of unrest, police say. The Big Picture is on the scene.
