David Judaken, a nightlife guru who's responsible for Mood, Opera and Crimson, is back with the latest Hollywood hot spot. MyHouse was designed by Dodd Mitchell, the man behind the Hollywood Roosevelt and Thompson Beverly Hills. This 10,000 square foot mansion, formerly the Garden of Eden, got a multi-million dollar renovation complete with luxurious touches like alpaca rugs, herringbone marble floors and even an outdoor Jacuzzi.
I love the idea of changing out the scenery to give people a different type of night time experience. Here Dodd combines the intimacy of a lounge and the energy of a big club into one big house party. If you happen to pop in don't forget to check out their dramatic glass-lined staircase, flat-paneled televisions, and an art installation featuring 15,000 pins. The second-floor master bedroom has a deliciously dark leather bed. The design nods to 1960s architecture with crocodile bars, a sleek nickel-scaled ceiling, and dramatic chandeliers. Coolest touch? A custom steel table, resembling chopped tree branches, serves as a stylish DJ booth.
Now that's what I call, a house party.
