World Cup Superstars: South Africa 2010 (9 pieces)

Kak – Brazil

Of all the 2010 World Cup art out there, this series by Met Member Charis Tsevis is the creme of the crop.

“This is an experimental personal project inspired by the great African pattern heritage and the contemporary football culture, he says. “I am trying to develop a new technique and a new illustration style to celebrate the first FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the African continent.”

“Best part of the project so far is the virtual journey through places and cultures. Exploring Africa's history and tradition is a great pleasure but also an endless lesson.”

Great job, Charis! Keep up the great work!

Landon Donovan – USA

Lionel Messi – Argentina

Didier Drogba – Ivory Coast

Mickal Essien – Ghana
