Yas Island Yacht Club in Abu Dhabi

The Yacht Club on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi UAE is is under construction now and expected to open next month. The shell of each building is studded with thousands of Swarovski crystals that capture and reflect the light. At night LED lights continue the sparkle. Designed by Omiros One Architecture (O1A) the two buildings are meant to be prominent landmarks in the area.

The complex consists of the Yacht Club with its observation tower and an adjacent building housing administrative offices and retail space. The buildings are designed to remind the viewer of oysters with shells that wrapp around and embrace the glass facades within.
