Abandoned cars can be quite the eye sore, however, this one in particular is a bit more complex than your average neglected automobile. The vehicle was parked for so long in Huayang village, in China's Sichuan province, that it became completely consumed by thorny vines and ivy.
In China, abandoned cars are known as 'jiangshiche' ('zombie cars') and this one has quickly become the most famous of them all. Since it was left in a parking spot on Peace Road back in 2012, the blue van has not been touched and, over time, mutated into this mini urban jungle.
Apparently the original owner, Wang Ping, sold the car three years ago and has not seen it since. Local residents finally had enough of the heap and police were called in to haul away the leaf-covered mess, which was so entangled that it wasn't cleared off before being removed from the site. Drivers must have been quite surprised to pass by such a large and unexpected mound of moving leaves along the highway!
