To celebrate the Bank of Cyprus's 110 year anniversary we were asked to design an exhibition that would pay tribute to its pioneers and their vision and tracking the main milestones in the organization’s history and the important historical events over the period. The exhibition is a tribute to man and his energy, to the way in which the birth of an idea, ground-breaking perceptions and single-minded vision may lead to the implementation of goals, to the realization of a dream; in this way reminding each and every one of us that nothing is impossible.
To underline its message that the exhibition is a homage to ordinary people and their vision, it relies on advanced technology to track six stories of men and women who dared and succeed in life. We designed and constructed interactive surfaces were the main characters lived in a paper pop-up world and the user could follow their stories.
As part of the whole experience we designed and constructed a 16m long installation that depicted major events in the history of the Bank and Cyprus. The installation which was lit from within was designed as two semicircular forms allowing the visitors to walk freely around it.
