An exhibition of Ceramic sculptures - INFINITE REPETITION.
Author: Jelena Miletic. Born in Pancevo, Serbia 1976. Graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts Artists and Designers - Ceramics Department, in Belgrade. MA degree from the same Academy in class of Professor Velimir Vukicevic. Member of Serbian Association of Applied Artists and Designers (ULUPUDS).
Curator of the exhibition: Gordana Biba Markovic.
Part of the preface: "When we are awake, we have a world in common, but when we dream, we have a world of our own..." , "A futurist incarnation of prehistoric animals based on the perpetual repetition of similar, aerodynamic, modular components joined together by the artist's joyous creativity, which, through consistent but evolutionary repetition, constitutes a sort of contra-thesis to thoughts of certain Northern philosophers about "the perpetual recurrence of the same", perpetual evolution, a perpetual ascent along an upward spiral toward absolute beauty. Liveliness, playfulness, and humour are fashioned into visual artistic thought which easily reaches the art critic as well as the regular art lover.
The idea of rhythmic multiplication and repetition bears the authentic and rich inspiration of an author whose works can be taken as one form of development in contemporary sculptural thought within the broadened medium of ceramics."
