Diploma film -- Prague Film School '04-'05
Wrote, directed, produced, shot and edited this piece.
The music was composed in Mumbai, India by a very talented young musician and prodigy of Ustad. Zakhir Hussain-- Vinay Venkatesh.
I was inspired to do this piece as a visual poem when I was at one of Prague's underground cafe/hukka bar which served really nice India chai, which I'd treat myself with when I missed home. And one of the waiter's there would play really cool Indian classical music when I was there. I borrowed the CD to Shakti played by Zakir Hussain (tabla) and Vikku Vinayakram (ghatam) return, joined by Hariprasad Chaurasia on the bansuri (Indian flute.)
The visuals came to me as I closed my eyes and enjoyed the song. It was a message about our journey in life, where we believe to have found our home and then we lose it in welcoming a new idea into our lives... Some of these ideas and concepts become a part of our new and extended home, some others leave us homeless. The quest is never-ending.
