Edgy Recreations of Mythical Creatures Emerge from Blackwork Tattoos

Parvick Faramarz‘s portfolio overflows with rich, dark characters that seem to be plucked straight from the pages of a fairy tale. Not your typical fairy tale though, for Faramaraz's tattoo style lends itself towards darker, foreboding creations that conjure visions of beasts from the Brothers' Grimm twisted folklore. From mythical creatures to owls and hares with hardened gazes, Faramarz infuses a distinct, edgy style into his black work tattoos.

Based in Moscow, Faramarz incorporates a combination of bold, black lines and complex dotwork into his art, creating realistic shading in pieces that seem to leap off the skin. His creatures are charged with a sense of movement, as his careful work with the gun renders a subtle, realistic texture and flow. Faramaz's menacing tattoos seem to stare back fiercely from their place on his clients' skin.

Faramuz's portfolio also includes a slightly lighter side that boasts floral motifs, in his signature style, incorporating hints of nature merged with geometrical patterns.
