Ingenious Smartphone Attachment Helps Dogs Smile for a Selfie with Their Humans

Taking a picture of your pup isn't always the easiest endeavor—especially if they haven't yet mastered the “stay” command. To help frustrated pet owners who want to double as photographers, Clever Dog Products has announced the Pooch Selfie. This plastic accessory allows you to attach a tennis ball to the top of your smartphone so that you can easily capture your dog's attention. If your furry friend loses focus halfway through your photoshoot, you can then quickly remove the squeaky tennis ball from the phone mount and use it to catch their eye.

“As any dog owner will tell you, it is difficult to get your pet to sit still long enough for a picture, let alone catch them looking into the camera. A selfie with your dog is nearly an impossible task,” the business writes. “Pooch Selfie takes advantage of a dog’s natural draw and focus to a tennis ball and uses this focus to hold their gaze as you snap away that perfect portrait picture.”

With only two weeks left on Kickstarter, the company has already tripled their goal of $7,000. Those who pledged a minimum of $13 can expect to receive their very own Pooch Selfie as early as December 2015.
