Soothing Alarm Clock Brews a Hot Cup of Coffee to Wake You Up

Waking up to freshly-brewed coffee is one of life’s great joys—the intoxicating smell and bold taste is a sure-fire way to start your day off on the right foot. The Barisieur is an automatic coffee and tea brewer that takes this idea and combines it with the most detested of devices: the alarm clock. This ingenious pairing, however, softens the harsh reality of morning by easing you into the day with the pleasant sound of bubbling water.

The modern, minimalist-inspired design features two primary sections: a base that has an alarm, phone charger, and small storage compartment; as well as a walnut tray that holds two glass vessels, a filter, and a funnel. An induction hob on the platter heats the stainless steel base and causes the water to boil. From there, this produces steam pressure and forces the liquid out of the original vessel and into the filter, which then brews coffee or loose-leaf tea.
