Teacher Lets Students Express Their Creativity on Her Dress on the Last Day of School

On the last day of the school year, this first grade teacher found one final opportunity to educate her students on creativity. Chris-ShaRee Castlebury wore a white dress to work at Pat Henry Elementary in Lawton, Oklahoma, and her kids decorated the fabric using markers, making her ordinary frock into an impressive tableau of youthful art and color.

The pupils from Room 219, aka Castlebury's “precious Picasso's,” as she calls them in her Facebook post, illustrated all sorts of inventive doodles on the skirt: rainbows and kites, butterflies and bugs, and even a sock monkey makes an appearance. Though we imagine it was a fun project for the kids, it left Castlebury with a precious keepsake in her closet, plus a reminder that a childlike approach to creativity can bring all sorts of adorably impressive results.
