Swing Rest is an innovative hanging couch developed by French designer Daniel Pouzet. Created for furniture company Dedon's Island resort, the structure was inspired by high ceilings and an open, airy layout. The basket-like structure can be suspended from any sturdy support system and functions as a couch both outside or indoors. The unique concept creates the sensation of floating and it makes the perfect place for lounging and relaxing.
The space-saving design includes an aluminum frame covered with fabric, as well as what the company describes as “an elegant suspension system, a 180 rotating tabletop and the specially-created cord that wraps around its exposed tubing.” When piled high with pillows, this simple concept seems like an irresistibly peaceful place to take a nap!
