In honor of their final performances on Broadway in No Man's Land and Waiting for Godot, co-stars and best friends Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart recently decided to say goodbye to New York City by releasing some funny outtakes from their adventures throughout New York.
As New York City tourists, the two are seen clowning around at a Coney Island arcade, posing with a mini Statue of Liberty, standing at the backside of the Charging Bull in the Financial District, visiting Madame Tussauds wax museum, and generally having some great laughs.
For two weeks leading up to their final performance on March 30, the pair released one photo a day to show off all of the great things the city has to offer. Anyone with a heart will find themselves both envious of the pair's amazing friendship and inspired to pick up the phone and call your own bestie for a long overdue chat.
McKellen said, "We are the same actor, really. We've had the same career, really. So we're peers. We're equals. We're not rivals."
