Intimate iPhone Photos Taken During Afghanistan War

Do you believe that some of the best photos can be taken with our phones? If not, check this out. Balazs Gardi captured incredible images of the war in Afghanistan right on his iPhone. A well-known photographic journalist, Gardi took the impressive shots for Foreign Policy Magazine during his five month stay in Helmand, one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Beginning September 2010, he documented the war in the most intimate way possible. These photos provide a more detailed look into where we are fighting.

although the pictures are beautiful, the actions are not. i wish there wasnt an entry for warime photos (especially recent) when we shouldnt be fighting anyone in the first place. war is never the answer for all, only for the benefitting few.

id like to get Teru and Balazs in the pub sometime and question them on the logic of all this. seen some great work out of Basetrack but imo im very much on the fence about iphonography during assignment, for experimentation maybe, but why bother?
maybe im just complaining cause im not an iPhone user ;D!
