If you're a fan of street artists like Banksy, Shepard Fairey, and Space Invader, you're not going to want to miss this! San Diego is pulling out all the stops with their new exhibit called Viva la Revolucion: A Dialogue with the Urban Landscape. It's a show that's not just inside a museum but on the streets of downtown San Diego! The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego exhibit includes the work of a diverse range of 20 artists from 8 countries including My Modern Met favorites Os Gemeos, Swoon, Barry McGee, JR, and Vhils.

Coolest part?
Using GPS and a map of the city, Invader's put together “The Space Invader Walk,” a self-guided tour through downtown San Diego, where you will find all 21 pieces of art and discover that the path they walk sketches out an 11-block-wide shape of a Space Invader, with each city block representing a pixel in the giant alien.
The virtual piece will also be presented in the museum as a movie. See the trailer below.
Viva La Revolucion: A Dialogue with the Urban Landscape opens to the public this week with a preview party this Thursday, July 15 and a members opening Saturday, July 17. General admission begins on the 18th. It will run until January 2, 2011.
