Man Spends $35,000 to Transform Home into Cat Playground

With the help of construction company Trillium Enterprises, one Californian man upgraded his home into an oasis for his eighteen cats. Located in Goleta, California, the $35,000 renovation transformed the ordinary abode by adding colorful, complementing ledges (or "catwalks") all around the house. Every room, from the master bedroom and personal office to the kitchen and bathroom, has playful accommodations for the owner's furry little friends.

In addition to ledges lining the walls from above, the fun, kitty-friendly accents include a spiraling walkway, a set of tiny stairs leading to said ledges, a climbing pole (which doubles as a scratching post), and tunnels for the felines to play around in. The house is also equipped with a ventilation system to regulate the air and aid with the pesky odors that come with having eighteen cats under one roof.
