Vivid Storytelling - Christoph Martin Schmid (10 photos)

It's makes a lot of sense that photographer Christoph Martin Schmid has a film background. "It was via photography that I discovered film which eventually brought me back to photography," he says. Christophe has the uncanny skill of telling vivid stories through alluring photographs. Here are some of his best works.

Brooke, I thought the exact same thing when I saw the old man picture and I too am from South Africa. I then scrolled down, saw your message and took a second look at the pictures and realised a number of them may well be taken in South Africa, and more specifically Cape Town.

A little research showed that the red and white building far in the background of the old man picture in fact appears to be Mouille Point Lighthouse in Cape Town.

If you look at the picture of the mom driving at the end of her tether you will notice that the registration plate of the car in the background is CA (ie Cape Town)

The naked lady cuffed while the guy looks for the keys seems to show a view over Cape Town in the view out the window with Robben Island also visible.

The first picture also appears to show signal hill and part of Table Mountain in the background.

So, yip I think all these pictures are taken in South Africa and again more specifically Cape Town.
