When a photographer uses a macro lens, the final results can be stunning and unpredictable. Based in the Czech Republic, photographer Adriana Kaprálová Hauznerová, aka Adriana K.H., is one of these artists who can find surprising details in the smallest of everyday objects. In her series entitled Oil Spills, she produces gorgeous abstract images featuring nothing but oil drops set against varying vibrant backgrounds.
Her photographs promote a strong juxtaposition of chaotic harmony, where the dense liquid droplets have commingled, attaching and sticking together in tiny clusters of repetitive circular patterns. Her color palettes are complementary gradients that radiate across the composition and through the transparent liquid to instantly catch her viewers' eye. Through her large and colorful photographs, Adriana K.H. reminds us that we can often overlook the many magical, microscopic details that exist in the world around us.
