When you're out at the beach or anywhere else there's sun, why not use the Solar Tree to charge your gadgets?
Korean designers Jun-Se Kim, Min-Goo Kim and Dong-Eon Kim have created a portable pole equipped with a solar panel on top. Simply stick the pole in the ground, and solar energy that is harnessed from the panel is transferred to onboard batteries. Electricity is then made available via multiple sockets mounted on the pole.
Critics are saying that the amount of solar energy that the Solar Tree can harness is minimal given its size. I do see this concept evolving in the future however, and for now, it could be especially useful during emergencies, when one call is all you need.
